01. Parties and Purpose

These terms and conditions govern any service contract entered into between RCustoms, an automotive accessories and customization shop located at 375 Chemin d'Aylmer, Gatineau (Québec) (hereinafter the "Shop"), and any individual or legal entity (hereinafter the "Client") who makes a booking, orders a service, or requests a quote, whether through the website rcustoms-gray.vercel.app, by phone, or in person.

By checking the box "I accept the Terms and Conditions" when making a booking or requesting a quote, the Client acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions in their entirety.

02. Description of Services

The Shop offers automotive personalization and accessory installation services, including in particular:

  • RGB LED ambient lighting
  • Starlight headliners (fiber-optic starlights)
  • CarPlay / Android Auto installation
  • Dashcams and on-board security systems
  • De-badging and exterior finishing
  • Custom modifications (steering wheels, trim, Alcantara, carbon fiber, etc.)

Posted prices are starting points. Each project is individually quoted based on the vehicle, its configuration, and the parts required. No work is undertaken without the Client's written or electronic agreement to the final quote.

03. Booking and Quotes

3.1 Online Booking

An online booking constitutes an appointment request. It becomes firm only after confirmation by the Shop by phone or email, generally within 24 business hours. The Shop reserves the right to decline or reschedule a booking in the event of unavailability or vehicle incompatibility.

3.2 Quote Requests

For custom services or "quote only" packages, a request submitted online does not bind the Client. The Shop will provide a firm price within 24 business hours after reviewing the request. This quote is valid for 30 days from its date of issue.

04. Payment Terms

4.1 Deposit

For fixed-price bookings, a deposit generally representing 25% of the total amount (or as specified in the package) is required to confirm the time slot. This deposit is charged upon confirmation and is deducted from the final balance.

4.2 Balance

The balance is payable in full upon delivery of the vehicle, before the keys are returned. Accepted payment methods are: credit/debit card, cash, and Interac e-transfer.

4.3 Taxes

All prices are stated in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes (GST/QST) in effect in Quebec. The Shop's GST number is R001234567.

In the event of a cancellation by the Shop (unforeseen event, equipment failure, parts unavailability), the deposit is fully refunded and a new time slot is offered to the Client as a priority.

06. Client Obligations

The Client agrees to:

  • Drop off the vehicle clean and in good condition (interior free of debris, no valuable personal belongings).
  • Inform the Shop of any prior modifications, third-party electronic systems, or existing electrical issues that could affect the work.
  • Be reachable for the duration of the work for any technical questions.
  • Pick up the vehicle within 24 hours of notification that the work is complete. Storage fees of $25/day may apply beyond this deadline.

07. Warranty

The Shop warrants all of its installations against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 1 year from the date of delivery, extendable to 3 years on certain services (specified in the quote).

The warranty covers:

  • Failures related to installation or wiring performed by the Shop
  • Detachment or aesthetic defects attributable to the installation
  • Malfunction of components supplied by the Shop

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by an accident, immersion, third-party modification, or abnormal use
  • Normal wear and tear of consumables
  • Damage resulting from vehicle servicing by a third party without prior notice to the Shop
  • Components supplied by the Client themselves (BYOD installation)

To make a warranty claim, the Client should contact the Shop with the booking reference. The Shop will redo the work at its own expense as soon as possible.

08. Liability

The Shop takes all necessary precautions when handling vehicles (seat, floor, and body protection). However, its liability is limited to damage directly and exclusively caused by its work, up to the amount of the service in question.

The Shop shall not be held liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage not reported upon receipt of the vehicle
  • Malfunctions of the vehicle's original electronic systems unrelated to the work performed
  • Indirect or intangible losses (loss of use, rental costs, etc.)

A photographic condition report is completed upon receipt of the vehicle. The Client is invited to be present.

  • Managing and tracking bookings and quotes
  • Communication related to the work

In accordance with Bill 25 (Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector), the Client has the right to access, rectify, and delete their data. To exercise this right: rcustom.auto@gmail.com.

10. Intellectual Property

Photos and videos of work performed by the Shop may be used for promotional purposes (website, social media, portfolio) unless the Client objects in writing at the time the vehicle is returned. The owner's identifying information is never disclosed.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution within 30 days. Failing an agreement, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the district of Gatineau.
